This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions to help candidates successfully complete the FUTMINNA 2026/2027 University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE). Please read each section carefully before proceeding.
Candidates are required to access the FUTMINNA 2026/2027 UPASE Portal through the University's official website. If you are not already on the portal, please follow the steps below:
Candidates who have recently changed their institution of choice on JAMB should contact the FUTMINNA Admissions Call Centre or wait 3–4 working days for their details to be updated and made available on the portal before attempting to log in.
Once your details have been verified and authenticated by the portal, you will be directed to the next page. On this page, you are required to:
Ensure all information provided is accurate and up-to-date, as this will be used for all official communications related to your application.
Before proceeding to payment, candidates are advised to carefully check and confirm the following on the portal:
| # | Requirement to Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | JAMB Subjects | Ensure the subjects registered in your JAMB profile align with the requirements for your chosen programme. |
| 2 | JAMB Score | Confirm that your score meets or exceeds the minimum cut-off mark for your programme. |
| 3 | UTME Core Subject Requirements | Your chosen programme may require specific UTME core subjects. Confirm these are in order. |
| 4 | Optional Subject Requirements | Some programmes require an optional subject. Verify that yours qualifies. |
| 5 | O'Level Requirements | Ensure your O'Level results meet the required grade and subject combinations for your chosen programme. |
Candidates who do NOT meet the requirements for their chosen programme are advised to browse the list of available programmes and select a suitable alternative from the suggestions provided on the portal. However, all remaining registration steps must be completed only AFTER successful payment of the applicable screening fee.
| Fee Type | Amount | Who Pays? |
|---|---|---|
| UTME/DE Screening Fee | ₦2,000 | All Candidates |
| Change of Programme (COP) Fee | ₦1,000 | Changing Programme Only |
Candidates who are changing their programme (Change of Course — COC) will be redirected back to the payment link to pay the additional ₦1,000 COC fee. On the 'Wish to Pay' dropdown menu, ensure you select 'Change of Course' to initiate the correct payment. The same Remita payment procedure applies.
After payment, the portal will automatically verify whether you meet the admission requirements for your chosen programme. The outcome will be one of the following:
This candidate meets the JAMB core requirements and is eligible to proceed with the application process.
This candidate does not meet the admission requirements and must change to a suitable programme. Payment for Change of Course (COC) must be made before the application can continue.
Candidates are strongly advised to consider their O'Level subject combinations and grades when selecting a Change of Course (COC). It is your responsibility to ensure that the new programme chosen is compatible with your qualifications before proceeding.
After your eligibility has been confirmed, you are required to upload the necessary supporting documents. Please follow the steps below carefully:
Ensure all documents are clear, legible, and saved in an accepted file format (PDF or JPEG is recommended) before uploading. Blurry or incomplete documents may delay or disqualify your application.
After successfully uploading all required documents, you will reach the final stage of the application. At this stage:
