The Procurement Unit of the University was established in 2017 following the creation of procurement cadre in the federal civil service and the directive of Federal Government that all MDAs of Government to create a procurement in their various organizations. The Unit helps in accounting for every kobo of Government that is being spent, through well-defined procurement processes. All Procurements of the University are being managed by the Unit in accordance with the Public Procurement act (PPA) 2007 and international global practice in the field of Procurement.

To ensure Procurement process in the University that will bring about Transparency, Fairness, Competition and Judicious use of scarce resources to give value for money.

Creating an efficient University Procurement system that is in line with the Public Procurement Act 2007.
Structure of the Unit
The Procurement Unit is directly under the Vice chancellor’s office and is answerable to the Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor (Accounting Officer) supervises the activities of the Unit including all procurement processes and makes sure that all the processes are in line with the laid down rules and regulations.

All activities are carried out in strict compliance with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) guidelines.
To inform, educate and enlighten stakeholders Processes so as to sustain a positive image of the University.
Ensure compliance with laid down requirements in every project implementation.
